Today we stepped onto the cramped plane with thoughts whizzing through our heads. Ten hours of flight time, and then we would be set free in paradise. The seats were cold, and the space was crowded, but soon we hit solid ground, flinging us forward. As the doors opened the humid air flooded in, surrounding and hugging us with heat. We looked out and saw the beautiful sunset and the trees painted on the horizon.
After some bustling about, and renting a car, we arrived at our apartment across the island (which is only 30 miles long, and 11 miles wide). It was one and the morning for us, even though it was just eight at night. We settled in, and laid down in our beds, as dreams of the future bounced through our brains.
